SO i went to my first ball, well more like entertained the people there. But first Emily and I went to the Prince's office to get our makeup down and wow he's loaded. His office is in those really nice buildings and I think he's a financial consultant in his own company? But yea. The ball we attended to on Friday night was the biggest one of the whole season so they went full out. Just about everyone came as the whole 'royal' family came with 2 sons and 2 daughters. Most of the women had fake eyelashes, but the really bizarre ones. The princesses had the ones that looked like quinn's ones in Glee from the Bad Romance song. AND THEY WERE AWESOME. The royal family had their makeup done by a professional make up artist while we did our own. Our costumes are apparrently not that bad because our theme is nothing compared to one town's previous ones which was Winnie-the Pooh. I kid you not, imagine 60 people dressed up as winnie-the-pooh sitting inside a bus. There were free beers and drinks inside the office and it was fun just chilling with some of the crew. I watched them practise the dance, which is hilarious. The actual place where the ball was held is called Festspielhaus which was the place I talked about previously. And omgosh, the ball was so grand. There was one main room which had all the tables and what not and the huge stage for entertainers and then 3 extra rooms, one for the bar and the lucky draw prize thing which had like epic prizes and another for a jazz music and another for a cafe kind of thing. It was amazing and you could so imagine a Bond movie being made there. Here's some photos

The girl on the right is the eldest daughter and her dress was SO PRETTY

After we danced and performed. Since it was a mask ball they had huge ones in the entrances
For more photos we got captured by one of the cameras so here's http://www.eraffe.at/treffpunkte/profil/id,4451/werkstattbuehne-festspielhaus/fotos/album_id,699000/album the link to the album.
You can see the princess and the prince properly. As they were the ones with the special costumes which were much cooler
Next day spent time at home and outside watching Maurice play with this toy thing. I forgot what you call it but it starts with a D. I also stalked the cats and tried to take nice photos. I also visited the butchers which is an EPIC PLACE full of meat. It's amazing. Because we had to get a meat plate for tonight. Eating it in a special way. I'll take heaps of photos
That's all the pasta available
CHEESE CHEESE CHEESE
All different types of risotto
Apparently this is the TRUE mozzarella cheese from the place where the mozzarella cheese came from
This was at the supermarket. It's dyed eggs for easter
Later on, I went biking with my host parents for like 16km! To Emily's house, not on purpose and it was so far that there were no houses left only some sheep and empty fields. Lots of horses were around and my host dad said that he would try to arrange if one of his colleagues who owns 2 horses can bring me out some time!
And there's some extra photos for the ball I attended last night but it wasn't as big and fun. And photos from me watching some tennis (sad Murray lost) and the cat next to me who proceeded to scratch me.
This time the 'prince' shouted everyone food.
The guy in the back is the prince
Nice THICK serviettes
Anyways going to go ski for a bit!
with love, from Austria,
Vivian

Gosh the ball looks like it was fantastic. And lol Winnie the Pooh theme. Does that mean lots of people in red shirts and no pants ;D? JOKES not a perve. I'd just wear normal clothes and say I was Christopher, but I'm a party pooper like that.
Horse riding and cycling remind me of our own adventures back in Aus and in Japan. It's great you get to do those things in Austria as well. I look forward to your next entries :)

Dear Vivian, we loved the costumes for the ball. They were very impressive. Looks like you're having a good time in Austria and hope you're not missing your mum's home cooking.
